Paul-Erik Veel is an associate at Lenczner Slaght. Paul-Erik has appeared before the Ontario Court of Appeal, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, arbitrators, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board. Called to the Bar in 2010, Paul-Erik joined the firm after clerking for Madam Justice Louise Charron at the Supreme Court of Canada. Paul-Erik holds an honours B.A. in Economics and Political Science from McGill University. He subsequently studied at the University of Toronto, where he obtained a Master of Arts in Economics and his J.D., graduating as the gold medalist from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law. While at law school, Paul-Erik received numerous awards for overall academic excellence as well as awards for the specific areas of International Trade and Finance, Corporate Law, and Property Law. During his legal studies, he was a Senior Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review as well as a member of the Wilson Moot Team. He is also a former Canadian National university debating champion. Paul-Erik is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he teaches International Trade Regulation. Paul-Erik has published articles on a variety of topics, including contract law, competition law, international trade law, and constitutional law.
